Westport Library: Opening reception Oct. 16. 6:30-8 p.m. Environmental artist, Joseph Emmanuel Ingoldsby in the Manton Community Room. Requiem for a Drowning Landscape focuses on the coastal landscape of New England, the imprint of humans on land and sea, and the impact of climate change on the marine landscape and fisheries of New England. Joseph shares a second installation, Butterfly Effigy Mounds, illustrating life cycles of butterflies and the plight of the monarch butterfly, on display in the Helen E. Ellis case through October. Mounted specimens on loan from the Lloyd Center for Environmental Studies are on display as well. 408 Old County Road, Westport.
