MIDDLEBORO — The Middleboro Travel Basketball Association (MTBA) is looking forward to its upcoming 16th season in the competitive MetroWest Youth Basketball League.

This year, the MTBAteams are moving to MetroWest to allow for girls at each grade and more than one team for each grade as numbers dictate. This is a premier league to prepare players for the middle school and high school level, as well as allowing having multiple teams at each grade, based on skill level.

One game is played each weekend December through February and games are primarily on Sundays. The games are played throughout Southeastern Massachusetts with a minimum of two local practices during the week.

Cost is $275.00 which includes practices, games with patched officials, tournaments and uniforms. Tryouts are for boys and girls teams in grades 4 through 8. Tryouts will be Friday, October 20 and Monday, October 23 at the Middleboro Early Childhood Center.

Tryouts time for both days are from 5:30-6:30 pm for 4th and 5th grade boys and girls; 6:30-7:30 pm for 6th and 7th grade boys; and 7:30-8:30 pm for 6th-8th grade girls and 8th grade boys.
