MIDDLEBORO — The Samuel Fuller School in Middleboro held its 10th annual trail run this past Saturday, October 7 at Pratt Farm.
Each year, this race has a 10k, 5k, and kids one mile run. Medals were awarded in several age brackets and numerous raffle prizes were given. This race is features a beautiful course through the scenic trails of Pratt Farm.
This race continues to be a fun family event, complete with jump house, trees to climb, and plenty of refreshments. This year participants experienced beautiful weather, the joy of cheering on some talented and tenacious young runners, and the privilege of applauding two veterans who hiked the course with substantial military packs.
Here were a few standout performances.
The three fastest runners and overall times in the kids race were turned in by Benjamin Nadolny at third place with a time of 10:42, Gabe Nadolny at second place with a time of 10:32, and Wyatt Herman at first place with a time of 8:59. The three fastest overall times in the 5k were Addy Herman at third place with a time of 21:49, Malachi Rivers at second place with a time of 21:48, and Micaiah Rivers at first place with a time of 21:39. Lastly, the three fastest overall times in the 10k were Mark Rivers at third place with a time of 48:06, Dony Michaelis at second place with a time of 47:35, and Joel Redder (who is just 10 years old) at first place with a time of 45:57.
