SOMERSET — William E. Miller, 87, of Somerset passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Southpointe Nursing Center in Fall River. He was the husband of sixty-three years to Ann G. (Cavanagh) Miller. William was born in Fall River the son of the late William F. and Ethel (Fitzpatrick) Miller. Bill was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School class of 1946. He served his country during the Korean War with the United States Army.

Mr. Miller worked as a systems technician for the former New England Telephone Company for many years, retiring over twenty years ago. He was a communicant of Saint Patrick Church in Somerset and past president of the Somerset Lions Club. Bill was an avid golfer and member at Montaup and the former Suspiro’s Golf Courses. He also enjoyed woodworking.

Survivors besides his wife are two daughters: Susan A. Miller of Fall River and Donna J. Quinn and her husband Stephen of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren: Wendi, Bethany, James and Laurie; ten great grandsons: Timoth, Jeremiah, Quinn, Zachary, Ronald, Ryder, Wyatt, Aidan, Logan and Dylan; three great great grandchildren: Caroline, Elena and Jeremy; two sisters: Beverly Arruda of Fall River and Joan Cyr of Danielson, CT; along with many nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 9am from the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton Street, Somerset, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am in Saint Patrick Church, 306 South Street, Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow in Saint Patrick Cemetery Somerset.
