Lillian Amaral, 90, was born July 27, 1926 in Plymouth, MA to Joseph and Anna Macedo.

Lil was raised by her paternal grandparents in San Miguel after the death of her mother when she was three years old. She returned to the States when she was seventeen years old to work in a parachute Company in Plymouth.

It was 1943 and World War II. After the war, she followed the work to New Bedford where she met and married the late Adolfe "Duke" Amaral. She worked in various factories but retired from Alden Corrugated after 35 years. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church.

Lil was a kind hearted, generous woman who was well loved by family and friends.

She is survived by a daughter, son-in-law, sisters, cousins, God children, and two parakeets.

She will be missed.
