If you believe in the basic truth of this article — stand for the American flag.
Somewhere in America tears fall from the saddest eyes on earth. A man in military uniform bends over a mother, and gently lays the American flag from her son's casket into her arms — she cries.
Softly, with the most sincere words she will ever hear — he thanks her for the service of her son. She cries. No greater pride, no greater pain — God, the pain, the pain.
Can you not understand why we must all stand tall — reflect on those of all colors who never lost faith in America, and what the flag means to all real Americans.
The basic truth, decency, the right to change what is wrong, fair play, duty to God and country, to each other, to family, mom, for all that is good in us, in America, stand. Work to make America better.
