Tuesday, July 11th: Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Do you ever wonder what happens when the library closes? Now your stuffed animal gets a chance to experience the library after hours... 

Drop off is Tuesday, July 11th from 10-5:00. Pick up is Wednesday, July 12th from 10:00-5:00.

Thursday, July 13th from 4:00-7:30: Family Game Night

Are you ready to put your gaming skills to the test? If so join us for an afternoon of gaming and see if you are the best gamer around. Games include Monopoly, UNO, Pictureka, Scrabble, life size Jenga Wii Games, bring your device for MINECRAFT, Pokemon Go, Roblox and more.

Tuesday, July 18th at 6:00: Teen Craft Night: Bleach T-Shirts       

We are getting crafty tonight. Join us as we bleach, yes bleach t-shirts to show our pride in our Boston sports teams as well as a variety of superhero and literary heroes.

Participants must bring their own t-shirt to bleach. Shirts that are 100% cotton and darker colors work best, Target brand shirts NOT recommended.  This program is best suited for 4th grade and up.

Wednesday, July 19th at 1:00: Gumdrop Construction

This afternoon we will be making skyscrapers using gumdrops and toothpicks...

Tuesday, July 25th at 6:00: Teen Tile Art                         

We are getting crafty tonight... Join us as we create super pieces of art, coasters, paperweights or really whatever your imagination can think of. We will be using modge podge and permanent markers, like Sharpies, and rubbing alcohol to combine the inks and make all sorts of mesmerizing swirly effects on the tile. 
 
This program is best suited for 3rd grade and up.

Tuesday, August 8th at 4:00: Build A Better Rube Goldberg Machine Artist/Educator Jay Mankita guides and inspires kids to construct delightfully complicated contraptions that accomplish simple tasks.

Jay supplies dominos, popsicle sticks, magnets, rubber bands, string, balls, marbles and floor-based templates as well as some pre-constructed machines for kids to study and play with, with plenty of opportunities for making, and learning from, their own mistakes.

Goofy fun, and real engineering, with a bit of Rube Goldberg history thrown into the mix.
