Fairhaven High School baseball coach Rudy Bulgar and former professional baseball player Todd Soares were instructors at the recent Fairhaven Acushnet Youth Baseball camp.

Elias 5, National Lumber 4: For National Lumber, Gavin Austin and Ryan Pires each had four strikeouts in their respective 1 1/3 innings of work. Aiden Powers went 2-for-3, while Ayden Chisholm had a double. For Elias, Nathan Raposo had eight K's in 3 2/3 innings, along with timely hitting from Logan Medeiros, Ben Ashley and Landon Pickup, and two huge catches in the outfield from Noah Mahon.
PJ Keating 10, Ray & Mikes 2: PJ Keating was led on the mound by Ryan LeBlanc and Chase Almeida, who each had five strikeouts. Harrison Cabral added a two-run double at the plate. For Ray & Mike’s, Jackson Ponte pitched his first inning with one strikeout, while TJ Hechavarria pitched two innings with three K's.
Ray and Mike’s 11, J&R Plastics 0: Caleb Silvestri went 3 2/3 innings, striking out nine batters, while Ben Costa went 2-for-2 with a double and home run. For J&R Plastics, Luke Bowcock and Zack Engel had hits, and Owen Bowcock had six strikeouts on the mound.
PJ Keating 11, J&R Plastics 1: Chad Hebert pitched a great game for PJ Keating, while Harrison Cabral supplied the firepower at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a pair of inside-the-park home runs and a triple!
PJ Keating 11, Alden Court 3: Michael Manzone pitched a solid 2 1/3 innings, striking out five, and Jackson Williams pitched well getting two of the four batters he faced. Manzone also supplied the lumber for PJ Keating with a deep, opposite-field grand slam. Harrison Cabral also contributed with a double and 3 RBI's. Lola Chase, Gabe Alves, and Ryder Mydlack all swung the bat well with one hit each for Alden Court.
National Lumber 7, Varsity Club 0: Aiden Powers and Gavin Austin combined for the shutout, handing VC its only loss of the season. National Lumber came up swinging with multiple hits from Powers, Richie Senna, Gavin Austin, and Brady Shurtleff.
Ray & Mike’s 6, Alden Court 5: Ray & Mike’s got quality pitching from Cole Correia and Caleb Silvestri and quality defense from Jackson Ponte, Ben Costa and Riley Mederios. Alden Court was led by Ben Comey, Lola Chase and Nathan Lewis who all had RBI base hits.
Elias 6, J&R Plastics 2: Elias' Matt Chang went 3-for-3 with three RBI's and pitched three innings with four K's. J&R got great pitching from Owen Bowcock with nine K's in three innings of work, while Zach Engel and Luke Bowcock both had doubles.
Varsity Club 10, Elias 1: Varsity Club got a great pitching effort from Luke Carreiro, Dylan Mendez, Kaden Jeffrey and Alex Hu, while Mendez went 2-for-3 and Brayden Nadeau had a double. Noah Mahon had four K's in two innings of work and a hit, while Lucas Meneses showed great hustle on the base paths and good defense.
Elias 7, Ray & Mikes 5: Riley Medeiros went 2 2/3 strong innings, striking out three, while Cole Correia went 2-for-2 with 2 RBI's and a big double, and Kross Estrella went 1-for-2 with 2 RBI's. For Elias, Nathan Raposo struck out nine in four innings and had a single and two runs scored. Noah Mahon had a big hit and Logan Medeiros had 2 RBI's.
J&R Plastics 8 vs PJ Keating 6: J&R Plastics earned their first victory of the season, led by solid pitching by Owen Bowcock and timely hitting by Zach Engel (triple) and Owen Bowcock (double). PJ Keating made a valiant comeback in the last inning led by Harrison 'H-Bomb' Cabral and Jackson Williams, and also got a rope triple of the bat of Michael Manzone.
Fairhaven Lumber 3, Acushnet Company 2: CJ Coelho, Brendon Conceicao and Jonathan Felix combined for the win.
Fairhaven Lumber 3, National Lumber 2: Jaxon Vargas returned from injury and had a brilliant 70-pitch, eight-strikeout performance in the win for Fairhaven Lumber. Jonathan Felix scored all three runs for Fairhaven Lumber and also nailed down the win with two solid innings on the mound.
Fairhaven Lumber 10, Ocean’s Fleet 3: Jonathan Felix had nine strikeouts and went 4-for-4, while Kingston St. Pierre had three RBI's and pitched well. For Ocean's Fleet, Tegan Vieira went 2-for-2 with a single and a home run, and Joe Pires added two hits.
Ocean’s Fleet 7, Elias Plastering 6: Ocean's Fleet came from behind to win with a walkoff single by Joe Pires, who went 3-for-3 with a home run. Ocean's Fleet also had first-time hits from Colin Furtado and Myles Ryckebusch. Cadin Figueiredo pitched three innings, recording seven K's. Landon Pickup had two hits for Elias.

The Frontera Grill squad won the South Coast Girls Softball junior championship last week with a two-game sweep at Hastings Middle School.
