The Swansea Independent Baseball League's 12U All Stars started off the Tournament on Thursday, June 29, against Norton, defeating them 12-8, in their first of five victories for the weekend.

SIBL started off the top of the first with six runs. Brennan Blaser hit a home run, bringing in two RBI, followed by Jayden LaFleur smashing a home run.

Bobby Soares, Colby Tetrault, and Dylan Amaral all had multiple hits to lead the way for SIBL. Amaral earned the win for SIBL, pitching three innings, giving up six runs, five hits and striking out two. LaFleur came in and recorded the last nine outs to earn the win.

On Saturday, July 1, SIBL 12U went up against Whitman, battling back and fourth, but finally SIBL 12U prevailed and won, 9-5. The game was tied going into the bottom of the third but SIBL came through with Soares, Logan Frank, John Anderson, and Blaser all getting hits and runs to bring the team to victory. Dylan Cavaco earned the win for SIBL 12U, pitching five innings, surrendering five runs, seven hits, striking out two and walking one. Tetrault came in for the last inning and recorded the last three outs to earn the save for SIBL.

Game two on Saturday against Falmouth was a tight game but SIBL earned the walk off victory, 6-5. Going into the bottom of the fifth inning, the game was tied 5-5 until Cavaco came up to bat and scored a run. Blaser earned the win for SIBL 12U, pitching 3 2/3 innings, giving up five runs, five hits and striking out five. Tetrault recorded the last seven outs to earn the save.

On Sunday, July 2, SIBL 12U went into the playoff bracket as the number one seed playing against Whitman. In a back and forth affair, SIBL defeated Whitman, 9-7. SIBL 12U was down 6-5 in the bottom of the fourth inning when Tetrault grounded out and got two RBI. Blaser helped them take the lead for good in the bottom of the fourth when he got a single and drove in one run. Lucas Cabral took the win for SIBL, pitching three innings, allowing two runs and two hits. LaFleur came in for the last three innings and recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for SIBL 12U.

The championship game took place on Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. against Norton. SIBL 12U defeated Norton, 10-5. SIBL took the lead for good in the second inning with four runs, with Frank, Bryce Costa, and Blaser all getting hits. Going into the bottom of the fifth inning, the score was 6-5. SIBL came up and scored four more runs. Cabral, Frank, and Dylan Anderson, and Tetrault all helped extend the lead. Amaral pitched five innings, surrendering five runs, nine hits, striking out five and walking one. LaFleur came in to close it out, recording the last three outs to get the save for SIBL 12U.
