Dartmouth Historical & Arts Society's Sunday Afternoon Lecture Series presents "Selected Houses of Chase Road" April 22, 6:30 p.m., at the society's Russells Mills Schoolhouse, 1205 Russells Mills Road.
Robert Harding, society president, will be the lecturer.
The talk will provide in-depth illustrated looks at several houses, some of which have been demolished over the years, with a particular emphasis on some special homesteads with fascinating stories: the house of Henry Howland, house-wright; the Barker-Potter-Helfand House, now the headquarters of Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust; the O. Potter House at 473 Chase Road; the Jonathan Russell House, one of the older homes in Dartmouth; and other interesting places.
The public is invited to attend and bring friends. Light refreshments will be served. The society suggests a $5 donation.
