LAKEVILLE — The Lakeville Garden Club will hold its fourth meeting of the year on Tuesday, May 29, at the Lakeville COA. The business meeting opens at 7 pm followed by the program and refreshments. Karen Kullas a founding member of the Taunton Ecology Awareness Movement will speak on “Compost 101”. She will discuss the how to and whys of composting.
Refreshments will be provided by Beth McNamara, Barbara Rose, and Cathy Ryan. The meeting is free, assessible, and open to the public.
The Lakeville Garden Club held its 30th Annual Spring Plant Sale on Saturday, May 12 , at the Lakeville Historic Town House. Although overcast, the rain held off until nooontime. Winners of items from the Scholarship Opportunity Table were Gerel Crosby, Sue Dunn, and Bill Kane. The Lakeville Junior Garden Club stenciled cranberry wall hanging was won by Sarah Doherty.
The Lakeville Garden Club is a member of the National Garden Club, Inc., the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, Inc., and the National Arbor Day Society. Meetings are open to the public and membership is not limited to Lakeville residents.
