LAKEVILLE — The Lakeville Garden Club will hold its fifth meeting of the year on Tuesday, June 26, at the Lakeville COA. The business meeting opens at 7 pm followed by the program and refreshments. Stephanie Schwalm a local gardener and owner of “Stephanie's Perennials” on Bedford Street in Lakeville, will present “Yoga for Gardening”. She is a certified yoga teacher and has "Yoga Fusion Studio" at 271 Bedford Street. Her program will demonstrate integrative positional techniques for gardeners to help keep us pain free. If possible, please bring a yoga mat.

Refreshments will be provided by Kathy Ferreira, Chris Sargo and Leah Cotter. The meeting is free, accessible and open to the public.

The Lakeville Garden Club observed Arbor Day with a program for second graders at Assawompset School. Teacher Nancy Barboza coordinated the presentation which were given by Leah Cotter and Geri Taylor. The students participated in activities and received Blue Spruce seedlings.

The Lakeville Garden Club is a member of the National Garden Club, Inc., the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, Inc., and the National Arbor Day Society. Meetings are open to the public and membership is not limited to Lakeville residents.
