SWANSEA — Voters in town were part of the trend for the primary election held last Tuesday.
There were 714 who voted on the Democratic Party ballot and 507 on the Republican and no one on the Libertarian Party ballot that had only one name.
The top vote getter on the Democratic ballot was Congressman Joseph Kennedy who was challenged by Gary Rucinski. Kennedy received 658 votes to Rucinski's 43. There were 12 blanks and one write-in.
Maura Healey received 626 votes with 83 blanks and five write-ins for attorney general.
Elizabeth Warren received 623 votes for Senator with 80 blanks and 11 write-ins.
District Attorney Thomas Quinn had 619 votes with 92 blanks and three write-ins.
State Senator Michael Rodrigues had 614 votes with 99 blanks and a write-in.
Register of Deeds Bernard McDonald had 606 votes with 106 blanks and two write-ins.
Marc Santos for Clerk of Courts and Deborah Goldberg for state treasurer, each had 588 votes. Santos had 125 blanks and Goldberg, 124. There were two write-ins on the Goldberg ballot and one on the Santos ballot.
Governors Councilor Joseph Ferreira had 580 votes with 131 blanks and three write-ins.
Suzanne Bump finished with 572 votes for auditor with 139 blanks and three write-ins.
County Commissioner John Saunders received 507 vortes to Frank Durant's 124 with 81 blanks.
Secretary of State William Galvin had 474 votes while Josh Zakin had 196 with 43 blanks and one write-in.
State Representative Patricia Haddad had 405 votes with 39 blanks while only running on three ballots in town. (Precincts 1, 2 and 3).
Republican Steven Howitt ran unopposed in Precincts 4 and 5 where 42 write-ins and 226 blanks on the Democratic ballot.
Quentin Palfrey had 376 votes for lieutenant governor with Jimmy Tingle getting 189. There were 146 blanks and three write-ns.
Jay Gonzalez had 355 votes for governor with Bob Massie coming in with 200 while there were 148 blanks and 11 write-ins.
On the Republican ballot, Lt. Governor Karyn Polito was the big vote getter with 383 while there were 120 blanks.
Keiko Orrall received 360 votes for treasurer with 146 blanks and one write-in vote, while Anthony Amore had 355 for secretary of state with 150 blanks and two write-ins.
Thomas Keyes had 340 votes with 164 blanks for governor's councilor.
Helen Brady had 336 votes for auditor with 169 blanks.
D Rosa received 329 votes for County Commissioner with 177 blanks and one write-in.
James McMahon had 298 votes for attorney general with Daniel Shores getting 145. There were 64 blanks.
Governor Charlie Baker received 296 votes to Scott Lively's 208, with only three blanks.
Geoff Diehl had 290 votes for Senator with John Kingston getting 135 and Beth Joyce Lindstrom with 63. There were 17 blanks and two write-ins.
State Representative Steven Howitt had 164 votes from Precincts 4 and 5 with 35 blanks.
