Results from the Whaling City Youth Baseball League:
Domino’s Pizza 9, True Swing 0: Noah Mello tossed a complete game one-hitter while striking out 15. Noah Tavares tallied the lone True Swing base hit. Noah Mello helped out his own cause by blasting a home run and knocking in two runs. Jhaden Reis also doubled and knocked in two RBIs. for Domino’s.
McCann & Sons 12, LeBeau’s 0: Cole Rivet and Ricky Maldonado combined on a nifty two-hitter while striking out eight. Cam Burke and Chase Feno singled for LeBeau’s. Nolan Hoffler had five RBIs while hammering multiple hits for McCann’s. Mikey Williams and JonNunez also joind the hit parade for the paint crew.
Amaral’s 6, Palace Pizza 1: Aidan Ramos singled and scored in the first inning for Palace, but that would be all the offense that they would be able to muster as Lucas Arribida and Lucas Beauregard combined on a one-hitter for Amaral’s. Jordan Mello, Garrett Vieira and Chase Lagoa led the offense for Amaral’s.
Dave’s 13, Alves Chiropractic 3: Cam Cabral picked up the win, going four innings on the hill for Dave’s. Kyle Pisz homered and knocked in three RBIs, while Eden Daggett and Josh DeMello had multiple hits as well. Becky Tavares had two hits for Alves.
New Bedford Fire 15, Tremblay Bus 2: Payton Beaulieau and Amari Harris had multiple hits, while Chase Francis walked three times and scored twice as Fire won a convincing 15-2 game. Iziah Robbles, Jerin Montrond and Landin Lefevie tallied hits for the bus company.
Dave’s 9, True Swing 0: Kyle Pisz, Cam Cabral and Josh DeMello combined to scatter two hits and strike out 12 for Dave’s. Devon Caton and Rye Vincent tallied the only True Swing hits. Pisz. Cabral, and Eden Daggett all had big hits for Dave’s.
SouthCoast Towing 6, McCann & Sons 2: Kylee Caetano was the winning pitcher, striking out 10 in her four innings of work. Mike Williams and Rick Maldanado tallied the only hits for McCann’s. Both Caetano and Dillion Greene had multiple hits for South Coast, while Ian DaCosta added a two-run homer.
DeBross Oil 17, Kitchens & Baths 2: Aidan Evangelho, Devon Wilson and Chris Pisz each hit home runs for the Oilers in a convincing victory. Tyler Dubois picked up the win for DeBross. Jaryd Dos Ajos and Adam Boudreau both tallied hits for K&B.
Domino’s Pizza 5, LeBeau’s 4: Jhaden Reis picked up the win for Domino’s. Chace Feno also tossed a good game for LeBeau’s, as he struck out seven. Noah Mello had three hits, including an inside-the-park home run. Gavin Almeida and Landin Daillaire tallied hits for Domino’s.
Alves Chiropractic 12, Palace Pizza 0: Jacob Lancaster and Becky Tavares combined to strike out seven and no-hit Palace. Gionni Torres, Colin Peterson and Zack Letourneau led the offense for Alves. Aidan Ramos and Talon Allain continued their steady play for Palace.
Tremblay Bus 3, Amaral’s 1: Alex Verissimo was dealing from the mound as he kept Amaral’s bats in check. He struck out 12, and kept them off balance the entire game. Jerin Montrond knocked in all three Tremblay runs in the win. Aidan Flood knocked in the lone Amaral’s run.
DeBross Oil 2, SouthCoast Towing 1: Aidan Evangelho struck out 17 South Coast hitters and allowed two hits. Kylee Caetano certainly had Evangelho figured out as she tallied both South Coast hits. Evangelho and Jayden Silva led the DeBross offense with their hits and aggressiveness on the base paths.
New Bedford Fire 8, Kitchens & Baths 1: Amari Harris was dominant on the mound, striking out 13 hitters and allowing three hits. Nazaeh Torrez doubled twice for Kitchens and Baths, while Gavin Fletcher, Payton Beaulieau, and Connor McClean led the attack for the Fire Department.
