Freshman guard Morgyn Riedl scored 13 of her team-high 18 points in the second half to help lead Bishop Stang to a 62-49 girls basketball win over Sandwich on Saturday.

Rylie Carreau added 13 points and Abby Fernandes chipped in with 10 for the Spartans, who outscored the Blue Knights 20-9 in the third quarter to take a 47-37 advantage into the fourth,.

"It was a good physical game," Bishop Stang coach Eric Le Vie said. "Our defense in the third quarter turned the tide for us."
